Where We Stand
Commitment to community
The current administration in the US continues to push violence on migrant communities and allies. PRD leadership wants to reiterate that we stand in solidarity with migrant communities - and we stand against the ongoing violence committed by ICE, and other federally-sanctioned actions threatening our skaters and our neighbors. The atrocities committed by ICE agents goes against our fundamental belief that every human deserves to live with dignity and safety and without fear.
We span a broad region along the peninsula, much of which is made up of many different immigrant communities - we value the diversity of these and ALL marginalized communities and we believe they all deserve to live with dignity and safety.
Should you encounter ICE activity, it is crucial to know your rights and understand what officers are and aren’t legally allowed to do. Following are three links, with the first leading to information on the rights held by immigrants of any citizenship status under the US Constitution, the second leading to general information on what law enforcement officers are allowed to do under US law, and the third leading to Rapid Response Network contacts throughout California that you can use to report ICE activity.
This is a time for our community to come together for each other. You are not alone in your feelings.
Stay Strong and RESIST.

Stop racism
Peninsula Roller Derby stands against racism. As a team built on strength, resilience, and community, we stand in solidarity with Black communities and affirm that Black Lives Matter.
Roller derby has always been about pushing boundaries and creating space for people to show up as their full selves. We recognize that the fight for equity and safety extends far beyond the track, and we are committed to listening, learning, and taking action.
We support the ongoing work toward racial justice and believe in a future where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness—on and off skates.
Black lives matter. Always.
